“Organizational X-Ray”This highly interactive workshop is the first in a series written to create and maintain healthier organizations. The premise is to keep your organization healthy by sticking to the basics and concentrating its resources on what matters, i.e. results. By putting a price tag to critical areas of your business, you will have a clear understanding of what really works and what is bleeding profits. As the participants individually complete each exercise, they will see their business from a new perspective, one that will open eyes to profitability never thought possible. Suggested participants: The entire executive team is necessary. Aside from understanding accountability in terms of dollars and cents, understanding the inter-relationship of departments is a key to prioritizing future investments of time and money. “Creating the Healthy Organization”Virtually every business is comprised of an organization that determines how it will function in every circumstance. This series is written for you to use as a guide to create and maintain a healthy organization. It will allow you test the health of your organization. In the process, you will create a plan to strengthen its structure and in turn become more profitable. Suggested participants: Everyone that is responsible for organizational results. The key is to create an organization in which everyone understands how his or her responsibility affects business results and then becomes accountable for achieving specific individual goals. "Leadership Development”Healthy organizations require leaders from the boardroom to the boiler room. Without effective leadership, an organization cannot effectively take the concepts of the strategic plan and incorporate them into the tactical actions necessary to achieve the vision. Leaders simply make things happen. Unfortunately, there are two kinds of leaders, the positive ones that achieve missions and goals, and the negative ones that detract others from achieving growth and profits. This program shows the participants how to lead your organization to the vision. Suggested participants: Everyone in the organization will benefit from this series of workshops. Programs will be designed to meet your particular needs. Attendance can be structured around levels, departments or any combination that best suits your needs. “Healthy Selling”Healthy organizations require sufficient profitable sales to pay for the journey to your vision. Without customers, you simply have no need or cannot afford your organization. Sales people are similar in every organization. There are eagles, geese and turkeys. (See the glossary for our definition). The eagles are the ones that have been developed to deliver profitable results. Raw talent and desire in the geese and turkeys are simply not enough. Our program is designed to develop a sales force capable of bringing in the profitable revenue necessary for you to achieve your vision. Suggested participants: Sales people, sales managers and anyone else in the organization that deals with customers will benefit. “Healthy Customer Service”Customer Service is an event that occurs every time a customer uses your product or service and every contact that the customer has with your organization (i.e. phone calls, meetings, invoices, installation, emails or other mailings etc.) Contrary to popular belief, customer service is not a department whose responsibility it is to placate customers. Customer service is the attitude and commitment of an organization to insure customers are treated exactly as outlined in the customer’s value statement. There is no one within the organization that is not responsible for customer service. This program is designed to insure everyone knows, understands and has the attitude to deliver the service the customer expects. Suggested participants: Everyone that deals with customers or team members that need to understand how his/her job affects the customer’s perception of your business. “Healthy Communications”Knowledge is not power. Power is the ability to share knowledge for the mutual benefit of your organization, your customers and your team members. Knowledge can only benefit your organization when everyone effectively can communicate to others. This program is designed to demonstrate the styles of effective communication and how they affect everyone. Suggested participants: Communication is a universal need throughout the organization. Everyone needs to understand that what is said and written is not as important as how their words are interpreted. Team members from all levels can be integrated into this workshop. “Healthy Hiring”In most organizations, payroll is a major cost of doing business. Yet in many cases, individuals are hired and rated on how the job is defined, not on the profit the position generates. Using the 5-star method of evaluating the workforce, this methodology compares current individuals to the profit they generate and/or the consequences if their job tasks were omitted. Using your current workforce as a benchmark, you can then decide on what requirements you need and how to increase the probability of selecting the right person the first time. Suggested participants: This workshop is a must for every manager, supervisors and the HR staff. “Time Strategies”Most people view money and what it can buy as the most valuable resource in an organization. In fact, how you invest your time can be the most valuable resource available for organizational and individual growth. Very seldom do we hear that people have time on his or her hands. People are always asking us to help them manage time better. We differentiate between what you are currently doing more efficiently and doing only profitable things efficiently. First, we develop a strategy that insures we only spend time doing what is important. We then define the four time zones that we operate in, choose the one most beneficial and develop a plan to operate in that zone. Suggested participants: Everyone! “Goal Setting”So much effort, so little accomplishment.” Has this ever been said about you or members of your staff? This is not an unusual organizational “dis-ease”. The prescription to health begins with selecting goals that will lead you to accomplish what really matters. THEN, and only then, begin to exert your efforts for accomplishing what really matters. This sounds so simple, yet because most people feel guilty when they are not doing something, they invent busy work. Unfortunately, after a while, busy work begins to steal time from doing the profitable things. This workshop focuses you and your staff on profitable goals. This workshop is delivered in two formats:
